In late 1969 I bought a copy of Car and Driver which had a multi page article on the "New for 1970" Dodge / Plymouth range. That was it! Had to have one of those, the Cuda 340 looked the pick but the Superbird was just outrageous and the brutish Superbee something else. I now have a 70 Superbee, OK ...

Which carb for my 383

My 70 superbee has a 383 with the following mods;

Edelbrock torker inlet
Erson cam with .489 lift
Hedman headers
Later iron heads with standard valve size, been skimmed at some stage, not really sure what the cr is but the original flat top pistons were marked where the valves were touching.

I'll be there supporting our son who competes in a Mk1 Escort.

Would be great to have a Mopar presence. Doubtful that the Bee will be ready but I'm working on it.

Just gotta love this forum.

I post my half baked question and in a few hours get 38 views and 2 positive comments.

Thanks guys.

Next step, once in the workshop, will be to start a thread on the winter rebuild, lots to do and probably more dumb questions from me!

Thanks again,

Roger

Temporary ignition circuit for 70 Superbee

Having removed all wiring from the passenger compartment including the bulkhead disconnect I now need a temporary circuit so i can drive the car a few yards to get it into a new workshop.

Have taken a live lead to the starter solenoid terminal which was fed by the link from the start/back up light ...

Any reliable car transporter in West Midlands?

Finally got myself a share of a workshop but it seems anything larger than a fiesta is too much for the local recovery trucks. Can anyone point me towards a decent reliable recovery truck? It's only got to be moved about 4 miles from one side of Stourbridge to the other. The car doesn't move under ...

Andy,

I have never put forward my opinion as to whether breaking up the union is a good or bad thing. Honestly I don't know but my opinion doesn't count as I don't have a vote.

My comments are only directed at the inconsistency in some of the arguments.

If Scotland imposes an export tax on whisky it will not be competitive in the high volume market, the UK duty will be added so we'll end up drinking Bushmills which will be several pounds cheaper. It won't affect the premium end of the market, have to say that Islay malts are superb and an extra few ...

Don't think I ever mentioned oil, just territorial water.

I agree that the 12 mile argument fails, but it fails for both scenarios. I'm just arguing for consistency.

As far as alcohol duties go, the UK sets rates for alcohol made or imported into the UK. If Scotland is outside the UK then the UK ...
