I used to watch it when they did stuff about cars you may aspire to or even own . . then the three took over and turned it into a lads show for wealthy piss-takers (they are all multi-millionaires)and now another two very wealthy guys are doing it.

I bought one of Dunc's Choppers a few years back . . . and he never told me they came with accessories !

Had exactly the same issue - started sounding like a cement mixer - torque converter bolts on the move in an attempt to escape !

I agree with Blue . . . on my way back from Prescott I came off the M5 and it sounded like a cement mixer . . but all still worked. Jim Smith suspected a cracked plate but it WAS the converter bolts undoing themselves !

If memory serves . . . you can get in from about 10:00 Thursday morning when the halls are virtually empty - Thursday is 'set-up' day.
Your car is trapped there until about 18:30 on Sunday. The show usually closes at 17:00 and there is then an hour's furious tear down. No cars are allowed to 'start ...

Seen 'em 3 times in the early 80's just after Bon Scott died . . and they were absolutely outstanding - two hours of non-stop thundering rock riffs.

Struggled hugely to get a ticket for the Black Ice tour a few years back and even though Malcolm was still playing, they sounded as good as ever but ...

I've had all the rear lights off my '70 and the two 'outboard' clusters are one-piece and therefore have 8 studs to get through the rear panel whilst the two reflector 'bowls' fit in the outer pair of 'letterbox' cut-outs. The centre reversing light is half the size, single bowl, 4 studs.

I went to a 'custom' show at the NEC in the early 80's - must have been about then as they were playing Sultans of Swing over the PA - and I saw a plum crazy '70 Challenger (with a white interior) named the "Artful Dodger".

It had purple 'stovepipe' hats embroidered into the head restraint area of ...

I was on the original list first time around for a postal purchase but the deal was never done . . . !

No sticker as no money changed hands I guess ?
