It just gets better.
i thought i'd check the timing chain as it is a know wear item.
i don't think this engine has seen fresh oil for years, or even decades :(
with high zinc oils it needs to be changed often otherwise it'll do exactly the issue i have. tons of sludge everywhere.

I did think about fitting a bearing but it limits additional available Caster adjustment to only allowing the strut rod to align the lower arm so the bearing doesn't try to bend the pin.Blue wrote: Wed Feb 26, 25 9:26 am Not seen a lower arm converted to spherical bush before, roller bearing is the way I’ve seen it done before.

Cobra is CSX3019
Ed Freutel was the first owner and had the Cobra shipped to Europe to compete in various events during 1966 including the Targa Florio

It's been a while
as you know i like to do things slightly differently, so in my head iv'e had an idea for a while on lower suspension bushes, and how i don't like them. Yes poly bushes are available but they have their issues.
so i have deleted the lower bushes completely.
