I thought my alternator was duff a while ago. Had similar voltages what you have.. but also thought it might be the regulator.

I've just been playing around with my carb as instructed on a website.
basically with a vacuum gauge connected and turning the 2 mixture screws i don't see much of a change in readings. Could this be due to the old performance cam I have installed? If so what are you supposed to do? :read2:

What sort of size oil cooler would be suitable for a 727 tranny?
Currently it goes into the radiator but I'm thinking of changing that.

Should the 727 transmission be very hot to touch after approx 20 miles of driving? I only noticed when I got under the car to sort an oil leak from the dipstick tube after it had been parked for 5 minutes. Could it be heat sink from the engine maybe..
