Re: Plymouth GTX. New suspension. Any recommendations?

I hotchkiss'd mine all round. Not cheap but really tightened up the car. Torsion bars were the best bit.
Shipped them from jegs i think - springs and torsion for $100 ( which seemed wayyyy to cheap for the weight)
You can always get them to one of ron fentons crates ( search) for big stuff.

Re: Hi to everyone, New forum user...

Yes Duncan came highly recommended from many sources and I did manage to have a quick chat with him and he was extremely knowledgeable and generous with an instant diagnosis and solution on the phone.

I tried to get back in touch a few times to see if I could get him to actually do the job he had ...

Re: Can I buy a new steering box in uk for a 1970 Plymouth GTX?

So I went with the firmfeel.com stage 2 rebuild that claims to give the steering feel of "A 2005 dodge"

I just found a used box on ebay usa and had it shipped straight to firm feel for their rebuild.

They turned it around in a week.

It is being fitted on Thursday so will report back then.

Plymouth GTX. New suspension. Any recommendations?

So the GTX has had an enormous amount of work done through the winter. Over £10,000 spent.

Now we are looking to improve the suspension set up.

Everything seems functional although one of the leaves in the near side rear leaf spring is cracked.

Is there a preferred set up to replace everything ...

Any ideas?

Many thanks

Re: Hi to everyone, New forum user...

Hello again :)

The GTX was great fun in Ibiza even though we did have some issues and we lost a few weeks of use over there finding someone who understood it and waiting for parts from USA.

Its on a truck on its way back now and will be with me in Cheshire on Saturday.

If anyone in the North west ...
