Yup I've had this out with all the MOT testers and they have all given me the whole spiel on "its more than my jobs worth" & "its all recorded these days, so they know everything we do" etc etc.
I've cleaned it up. took the signs off & said i use it both privately & for 'light' business use but ...

OK this is getting frustrating...
Still no MOT after my 4th attempt on my Ford F350 & beginning to wonder if I've got a vehicle that's not compatible on British roads :roll:

Ford F350 MOT headache
Put my F350 on a local weighbridge and it came in at over 3540 Kgs with no passengers or driver in it, no tools & just a quarter of a tank of fuel, so down plating to 3500kgs not an option.

Had a Ford 7.3 IDI (not powerstroke but turbo'd) and it was the dogs danglies bits but sadly the rest of the truck was falling apart so it had to go...

Many thanks for the info. Shovelhead Rob,,,, great bit of info and will def look into what you suggest, although the local Ford Dealer near to me has a terrible reputation but there are others i could use.

Yep the 6.0l certainly has its gremlins, I've already done the EGR bulletproof kit so was hoping for a few miles of trouble free motoring but oh well. Great truck, tows effortlessly even with 5 ton behind it (Shhhh :-$ ;) )

Thanks Pete, the Landy has been struggling of late. Got 2 of those tracked post-driving machines now (bren gun carriers as you call them) plus a tracked dumper so needed something with enough power to haul them....you gotta hand it to the yanks, they just get it don't they, if you need more power ...
