Re: Oil capacity 340

Depending on Sump design and whether the Filter has been changed and the new one topped up; start with 4.5 quarts and expect to put maybe another quart in once the engine has been run and the level has then settled again....

Re: Dodge Garage

Welcome, Mark.

There is a massive repository of information and history on this Forum, plus the "MMA Facebook" page, which is more of a "Drop in" centre.

I hope you find the contents interesting.

All the best, Pete

Re: Hemi into an "A" Body - How hard can it be???

This was "Measure once, Cut and paint Twice" as I could not reliably get the PASS Side Rocker Box off for servicing.

However, tolerances are SO tight on this build that one millimetre is a large clearance; so I guess we could be forgiven...

Re: Locking out timing on a street car

Agreed, but if you have the right ECU, you can lock out the timing and take that out of the equation, phase the Distributor as best you can (Much easier with a Crank Trigger) and then programme to suit the engine's needs.

I think that engines on modern fuels want as much timing as early as possible ...

Re: Locking out timing on a street car

I have run locked out timing on the street, and all the race cars have had locked out timing, but have Crank Triggers for greater accuracy.
