Paint codes.

Post by NickB »

Hope someone can help me out.I'm about to have my '68 charger resprayed and would like it back to its original colour (SS1 yellow).Does anyone know how I can obtain the correct paint from over here?Do I persevere with the code SS1 which has so far drawn a blank or will I just have to experiment until I get a match?Any help appreciated. :help:

That's the same colour as mine was when I got it 12 years ago. You can phone ICI in America, and ask them for the formulation for SS1 and then get it made here. Thats what I did when I changed colour, or try speaking to Ivor.
Are we there yet dad ..... 10 to the gallon but worth it.

I didn't let the old boy down Skip, he has two options for SS1 or Sunfire or...whatever Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler may have decided to call the same colour that particular year!

A Charger in Sunfire is going to be an awesome beast...and rare too...I can't wait.
