also not seam welding will mean the damp can get in an up under the fillers causing it to lift off, crack or bubble up.
it's going to be easyer doing ir right first time then having to dig it all out and making the metal even thiner than it already is.
only advise not critersism, but atleast your having ago. :thumbright:

You have plenty to go at petrolhead, not sure if you know but the rust hole near the bonnet hindge in your picture should be a drain hole for under the scuttle, if it rusted where yours is i would guess its rusted inside the car also. I had this problem with mine, had to take the dash and heater out to repair it, damm thing still leaks in when it rains :( .To do it correctly i guess you have to remove the scuttle panal, Happy welding...

have you checked the front R/H chassis leg for corrosion?where the steering box is bolted on.These were prone to rotting (from the inside out, thus gradually thinning the metal).A pain in the butt to fix when it is all back together (i know from experience,i had to pull the engine out to fix mine.

i think you need to register to see the pics

Either way it is worth while taking off the scuttle to fix the inevitable holes in the gap between the outer edge of the windscreen hole and the inner edge by the dash mounting.

Tell you what Petrolhead, I woudn't be ashamed of those repairs. They appear to be good and solid, what's more the finish is excellent.

Fantastic job, keep those pix coming, we all love 'em! :thumbright:
