If you look at the Outside Mirror on the Challey you will see its a Chevy mirror,probably of the Dime a dozen 67 Camaro they crashed,the reason they used Chevy mirrors is they look far better on camera than the Mopar oval mirrors that look poor on screen, a shot in a square mirror looks far better on film hence the change.

I read that four Challengers were loaned by Dodge to the film company for this film.One of them was a 383 with Automatic Transmission! it was used for those long straight high speed shots mostly and was in the best shap of the four cars once filming had ended.The cars were given back to Dodge...i wonder what suckers bought those abused cars as new! :D
