Si, I had a pair of them on a tunnel ram, just done a run was coming down the return rd cruising on idle bliped the trottle misfire and both of them caught fire, I was still traveling about 20mph :shock:

Never had a K&N catch fire. Those Edelbrock things are dangerous, the "filter" is a piece of foam which gets soaked in fuel vapour, held in place with a plastic skeleton frame. It will catch fire at some point, they are rubbish, throw it away now.

i think i will take yer and everyone elses advice on that so now im on the hunt for another air filter [good thing that one didnt cost me that much
