What happens if you arrive at the bottom of the hill with your motor running, and then you drive up the hill? would the motor be able to run in the village or would the timing be messed up? and would the motor die?

next time you park in budgens put face your car and put the key fob against your head and it will lock the car,try it it's a fact ,it will lock no probs, the brain density and human electricity interferes with the radio waves,so is counter acting against the radio mast :read2:

We used a radio system back in the 90's in our fleet vans that set off all the house alarms as we drove past :?

As soon as they are running they are fine, it just does something to the car that prevents it from actually starting.

all sorts can cause this, had occasional problems myself, where there hasn’t been any evidence of phone masts, radio masts, automatic doors or whatever

I was advised to hold the remote transmitter as close as poss to the receiver on the vehicle to lock / unlock it

your car manufacturer / dealer / franchise outlet should be able to tell you where the receiver is for any particular vehicle

on Subaru’s it is at the bottom of the windscreen on the driver side

holding the transmitter here has always worked for me :thumbright:

Boz01 wrote:There is a place in North yorkshire where people have problems with cars and bikes not starting in a certain village (can't remember the name). But it is apparently because of RAF fillingdales where radio signals are sent/recieved and somehow it messes up the electronics on cars and bikes. Seen as the village is on top of hill the only solution is to take your car/bike down to the bottom of the hill where it will usually start!
I guess that would be the opposite to a hill start then eh??!!
