Here I am! Oz is cool, but the locals think it's a bit wintry. Spot the Pom in his shorts etc etc. Been doing the usual stuff, new TV, washer, fridge/freezer, IKEA :? The apartment we are renting has loads of rules; No noise! No parties, no drinks by the pool, no cycling, NO NOISE! They are gonna luv it when I start cutting up a Val!!!!!!!!! Next stop, Oz licence and buy a car........Minefield! GPS is gonna have to be purchased, no mobile speed camera alerts though  Reading the local A-Z on the dunny at the moment. Hey, Phil! Ain't seen a single spider yet, or snake, or fly! Went in a bottle shop and they hadn't even heard of Soave or Frascati!!! Heathens! Ended up with some Jacob's Creek sparkling Pinot Noir. No Emu in stock, either. Seen some OldHens, but no Valiants yet, although there is a VE taxi (really) in the old car trader for $750 in Vic. Would be ideal for my purposes, but not just yet. Reckon Noel at the complex would have flamin' wallabies, mate! Hired a car from a Cadillac bloke who has many Caddys and is secretary for the Oz Caddy Club (before you ask I hired a Toyota Corolla, he was all out of '64 Caddy Verts) We are in the Motel for another 2 nights while all the gear is delivered. The shipping is held up so we've got to rent some stuff at a monthly rate for 5 days  6 months in the Prison (apartment) then I want out to a place where I can get busy!!!!!!!
(Oh, yeah, got to get a job too!) Spoke to some boys from the Lake District yesterday and their Dad has a job as a welder and apparently his welds are Too Good, can you make them less so!!!! Donuts!
Speak soon!

can i suggest

a bit of snorkeling at moreton bay Island... they built an un natural harbour by scuttling a load of old dredgers...really spooky and well dangerouse in a posidon adventure kind of way. don't swim the channel unles you can swim !!!! you go sideways faster than forwards

you can feed the dolphins as well.. they like vegemite hahn Preimium larger and fish

i saw a shark and filled me pants good job it was a toothless wobegong

and there is an open air resturant on corrination drive in toowong that has a 1 way mirror for its gents urinal and it makes up the back wall of the resturant. quite unerving being surrounded by diners and having a wee.

Gold coast is about and hour away but its worthwhile going down on a friday night for some gambling drinking and hot hooning action

will see plenty of vals crusing Brisvegas

and remmeber

burnt skin in blistering heat

sunburnt feet still feel the beat

ice cream and sunscreen are not the same thing

stubbies (watch ya nuts don't fall out one leg and get burnt) (burnt bits burnt nipples..... agony)
blundstones thick long socks
and a blue or green cotton pilots shirt with epolettes n pen pockets. K-mart or the terrible LOWES mens wear can provide.

Have a nice time

tired the XXXX yet? the brewary is just down the road..... tastes nout

i loved brissy

the possums in the park in the town centre are good for a chat when you are smashed and only bite if they think you are dead

i loved brissy top notch bonkers place with live bands in pubs and $5 steaks for lunch,

full of lovely cricketers in their nice white attire

i'm off to shed a little tear
