GTX Update

Post by sinny »

For those that are interested......The GTX is coming on well. It's now just a rolling shell & I've started stripping the paint & have found a fair amount of rust. All is repairable (so far!) the biggest problem is 2 major holes in the front sub frame.
Here's a link to so photos although they aren't in order. :?

Thanks Mo, not sure if it was originally a 4 speed, certainally isn't now though! I'm removing most of the paint by hand then will blast off the harder to get to areas. All is going to schedule though. :D

Great stuff Sinny, looks like the car has been standing for a VERY long time!

There are a few scary bits there, but with a bit of elbow grease and enthusiasm, that could be a very special car...nice to see the original wheel on it too.

You're right Lee, it used to run at York in the 80's. It was owned by George Chiles.

The main aim is to restore it but I'm sure I'll end up on the 1/4 run at some point. :thumbright:
