The roll cage extention is now complete and fully welded just a few holes in the bualkhead to fill.
Also fitted a new purpose built ally dash so just have front floor panels and removable tunnel to fitt and all the major structural work is complete.
Finally got the gearbox parts out of customs at Coventry so its over to blue for a rebuiold of the original 727.
Trans brake looks an awsome bit od kit and the gearchange oh here are a couple of pics.
More when completed welding and rember to take camera.
You been on the lash Bob???

Another day down at the workshop saw some progression.
Trail fitted the engine and that turned out to be more difficult than expected and threw up some more questions about the new suspention.
Basically I guesed the front spring loads at around 600- wrong dooh.
it seems the front springs will have to be around 800 lbs per side if not more.
I did not have the right rear gearbox support so it proved very difficult even with the prop bolted in the get it right so will have to do all again.
But hey ho thats part of the deal.
I realy neeed to place the car on some scales to check the actual weight on the front end so if anybody has some or has some ideas I am open to sugesstions / help in this corner.
Here ar some pics.

Spent another day in the garage (which got me into some serious trouble) but actually got somewhere with the front end set up.
With a few tweeks she is sitting somewhere near the correct ride hieght and will not need an enourmous sheet off aluminium chequerplate under the sump to drive it without mashing the sump
Getting some good support and thanks to the big fella for comming back today with a clear head and some usefull suggestions.cheers Jay.

Well after last week end which was one of them days when you go 2 steps forward and three back today was a great one.
Dave 2L and the Silver Fox welded up the holes in the floor pan and the seat support angles then fitted the seat, it looks great and has some built in adjustment for people with little legs and big balls.
I refitted the front end and finally got it all right with the new shocks and top mounts so the old gal is back on 4 wheels.
During the week I had the torque converter cut open to find that something about 10mm dia had passed through it and shreeded the vanes, it turned out to be unrepairable so a new one is on order.
Blue has done a great job and the gearbox is resplendant with all the new billet bits and the PN123N transbrake. the only indication that there is anything different from a normal 727 is a small bayonet connection for the transbrake new sheild to attach and it is ready to bolt on.
Next job is to refitt the engine and box fix the front plate mounts, I have decided to ditch the mid plate after speaking to a few sexperts which will make it a lot easier, then tweek the coil overs to obtain the correct ride hieght.
If all goes well then the fabrication work will be complete bar filling a few unwanted holes in the baulkhead and tidying up the paint work.
Rodger turned up in his Aussie Holden pick up which was SWEEEEET it looked and sounded great (post some pic Roger) he picked up a few bits for his build and we called it a day.
To finish on a high note we got asked if we would like to do a before and after shoot with a real live model.
I did not have to think long and hard about that one.
