quite a decent pic, just starting burnout....Ironically enough the car in the background is my old '71 340 car, now in Pink!! and a 440
oh by the way 20 mins prior to that pic I blew the top off the scoop 20ft in the air with an NOS backfire, no damage :)

thanks, I'm trying to remember....I sold the 340 in white, those guys had it not long, didn't do anything with it and then Mr. Pink bought it, can't remember his name now, but a nice guy, remember I persuaded him to buy the 4200 converter I had to get him in the 10's, he was just shy running low 11's, took quite some effort as he said everyone said its too high a stall.....so I told him to forget what everyone else says and listen to uncle Les....next time out he was runnig 10.80's....job done!!

gonna have a break, catch u all later...Les

Hi Les, remember the 'Twins'? We used to (and still do) hang around with Paul Mander's crowd (Team Alcohol) & Blue's crowd (The Roughnecks)?!
Well I'm the ugly one (ok, we're both ugly!) :D

Stu looks in here occasionally but I'm the one that does the posting.

Your old '71 went to Iceland, last we heard of it on here.

Where are you living now? Still around the Tottenham area?

I've already posted some old pics of you 'back in the day', somewhere in the Archive Section. But some stuff got lost a while ago due to a dodgy (or non-existent) back-up, so whether it's all still there... :dontknow:

We've still got our 69 Sport Satellite (see here http://www.moparuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=5764)

plus we bought another older banger in 2004 - http://www.moparuk.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=6455

Be good to see you out & about one day. Make sure you get to the Pod for the EuroNats, last weekend in July :pentacool:
