clutch etc

Post by RoelB »

I am trying to get a new clutch, pressure plate etc for the Roadrunner. Previously I used John Woolfe and Real Steel, but they have nothing in stock. Anybody have an idea where I can find these in the UK?
Thanks

is it rebuild able?

you can always get the driven plate refaced and rebalanced or completely rebuilt with new springs or indeed a new metal plate

which is what i'm doing today

£25 for new friction material on a 9.5 i'd guess bigger will cost more but still.....

Thanks Dave, a friend of mine local that runs an American workshop is going to get it refaced, he said it is good enough for that :thumbright:

mostly are unless the spline is knackerd according to the old fella i left mine with.

very much of the type " its a travesty that people just throw this stuff away etc etc"

he's going to pop out a spring and see if its in spec as well

too much play in the mounting for the spline and they'll kick it back.

any cracks
and they will

but they can make new supporting plates as well...
