But there are a few ex-members that have not been in the club for years getting in touch there. Plus some guys that were in the original Mopar club before this one was formed. Plus people in the USA etc are looking in.

It is called "networking". It can only be good for the profile of the club.
I didn't know that the MMA had a Facebook page so I just had a read of it. I was surprised to see several members on there saying that they will not be renewing this year as they will be using the Facebook page instead. How you can call this good for the profile of the club is beyond me ?
Good point

If there so tight they will not support the club & pay the subs we are probably best of without them, this forum has brought a lot of people together with similar interests & for me personally has been good to meet people & has been wealth of knowledge

For me there's not enough hours in the day for it.

As for this site I don't feel I have enough knowledge to contribute anything useful or interesting to others.

I did start a thread about the charger but had next to no interest from others. I guess that could be because it's not anything new as there seems to be loads of chargers in the club but because of this I haven't bothered to update the thread.

I dont and won't have a facebook account. Employers routinely trawl the site to gain 'extra curricular' information about prospective employees.
I'm keeping my fetishes private :o , just share a few with you lot occasionally!

No facebook here - keep my business with who I want to share it with - the rest of the world. Can see a use for it long distance but mostly for people with TOO much time and not enough to do.

How True :thumbright: i also am not willing to be human advert for free.If you like something on Face book, lets say you like Coke (cola :D ) then your frends will get messages and stuff saying you like Coke and they hope they will try it,nothing better than a recommendation from a Friend.

Also you are willingly giving then free market research, interests, what you buy, what you own.then you get adverts tailored to you.Great for the big company's to find potential customers.
Its all pure Evil advertising under the smoke screen of social networking.
Google and plenty of the other things on the Net are all the same they want your hard earned £££.

You have to be carefull on the Net also what you say,my brothers mate is a member of the Communist party and some of his other mates are.
My brother Ben is not a Communist. He is mates with them because they played in Bands together years ago.But Ben is Guilty by association.Ben has also made it know on the Net Facebook etc he does not belive in God.

Ben often gets hate male from the USA they think he is a Communist and they do not like it that he is not a christian.

He has often had young christian groups leaving loads of comments on his page and had to have them barred for harassment.

So he stand no chance of getting a Job with a christian firm in the USA :D

Facetube? No thanks.

My Mrs. is always on there gasing with friends, then moans at me about whats been said by other people. Sneidy remarks etc. that are meant 1 way (nasty, which is obvious) but when confronted they say "Oh no, I didn't mean it like that...
Load of tosh. Got no time for it.

Matt, please continue with your Charger thread mate. I've got 2 threads going as have 2 cars on the go (aswell as trying to finish the house off  ).
Sometimes people comment, most of the time they don't. Doesn't mean they're not being read, or that your work isn't being appreciated.
I had a guy round today looking at the '66 and loving the work being carried out as he's got a '66 project too, but although he's been a member since about '04, he's only done about 30 posts
Just coz he's a sleeper, doesn't mean he aint interested in what work's being done, and I've only met him because of the club, and because of my thread ;) .
Turns out he only lives about 3 miles away too

Also, the pics help others too. Sometimes in ways you can't imagine.
You may have something apart and photo it, but unbeknown to you, someone else might be attempting the same thing, but may be having trouble getting theres apart, and your pics may help them see HOW it comes apart.

You might get replies, you might not. Don't worry. By doing the resto and talking about it / posting photos, you are doing your bit to keep the board alive making it as great as it is :thumbright:

Good luck with it :D

For the same reason that's why some of us do not comment.I often do not comment in the Workshop or members cars.or the Race only section.Purely because i have nothing more to say than well done keep it up.

But you and other members should not think there is no interest due to lack of comments.
I read everything here and I'm sure other members do but do not comment.

So please do not be put off :thumbright: if you look at who is online you will often see members here online a lot who do not comment,it shows the posts are been browsed and read :thumbright:

I won't be rejoining because A I have been made redundant and B the board is just not as interesting as it once was.

I have had a great time but it's time to move on,I will be back one day hell I might even own another mope (but I doubt that) but for now there isn't enough to justify the £30

I don't think that's a fair comment, yes there might be one or two Bananarama! but you don't know situations,I have been made redundant and unfortunately paying bills is waaaaaaay more important than some car club (as much as I love it)some people are struggling to put food on the table, let alone pay for hobbies.

I just feel that comment is a bit insensitive considering just my two cents

Now i know i am not Mr Popular on here, but whats happened on here since i left????? Brutus,Naughty Alan,Slick,Chuff me Brutus could wind me up easy, but he was there when you needed a bit of help and advise,, Its the racers that made this forum interesting, they built the cars and raced them and broke them. Learnt from there mess ups and passed on there info... Now i have no problem with looking at posts of highly restored cars, and the work that goes into them ,,but it hardly makes good TV...So Brutus ,Pete Wiseman,Naughty Alan,Duncan Cannanball,,, Blue.....get your cars sorted and get to the track....No back halfed money pits, just stick a good ole 440 in and lets go back racing :thumbright: :thumbright:
