Careful with those angle grinders boys...

Post by db »

A little trip to A&E for me today

My grinder snagged in the bar i was cutting, jumped and dug into my thumb. No tendon damage or anything but a big hole needing 5 stitches and the doc had to dig around for steel fragments and cut out some burned bits of flesh.
Nice!
Bloody sore too
No-one will believe you...

Had the very same thing happen to me when I was grinding away on the black Pantera that we restored, snagged and whipped out'a me hand and dug in me other hand between me for-finger and index, nearly lost the index :help: .......there was Bananarama! claret everywhere :pale: got taken to ozzie and had 7 stitches as well ( good job I'm right handed ;) )

moral of these stories..........WEAR YOUR Bananarama! GAUNLETS WHEN GRINDING ......ALWAYS!!! ........OR ELSE :deadski:

Yep.

Still have the faint scar between my thumb and index finger on my left hand from years ago. It went right through my "Heavy Duty" work gloves.

No trip to A&E for me like a wimp though. :D

Bit of rag and some insulating tape wrapped around and carried on.

Yep

Index finger left hand, was modifying a trans without the guard on, and it caught me though some heavy duty gloves, so taped it up with masking tape and carried on, until the blood started seeping though the glove, quick trip up A&E luckily just had the superglue and suture's :thumbright:
