No they didn't John, your right, and your prob right about the way they delivered the power, as you say Ford did like big ports and valves (351C), thats IS probably why the cammer never made it to the street, and the boss was a flop really....so long live the 426 Hemi....Blue wrote:Don't think the cammer or the Boss 429 ever really rivalled the Hemi's dominance. But as Pete says the solid version was a nightmare for lash/wear, and not much better with the hyd set up. Roller Rockers are the way to go for the Hemi and any rpm type motors, my 440 went much smoother with the HS r/rockers and v/adj was almost forgotten, every time I re-checked the lash they were spot on....can be worth 4>5hp? on a flat tappet mtr with std type rockers....(Mick)
