Yeah I love anything at Duxford, sure I can make that :thumbright:
Any indication of another American Air Day this year? I think I still got a contact number for Adam Kendall I might give him a bell.
Will we all be up for this one too?

Bit of a shame it clashes with Watford Rods this year but I'm going to try and get there - always enjoyed the shows at Duxford.

So is there still some interest in this, weather permitting (always seems to rain or snow when we go there  )?

Stu suggested we dust off the Polara or Satellite, or both, but we werent sure if was going to be more of an MG / Triumph type show, like the one we went to last August (Pete's A12 Bee & our Polara were the only 'yanks' )

Could be tempted if there's a few more from here :D

Anyone definitely going?

Just remembered, we had trouble getting in at the discounted rate last August cos we werent down as attending with a registered club.

Their website says "Discounted admission price for club members (a minimum number of display cars is applicable)."

I tried ringing the number shown on their website to speak to the person dealing with this but theyre not in till tomorrow, so I've sent an email to ask if we need to register as a club to get the discounted admission price, and what the minimum number of cars is.

I'll let ya'll know what she says if & when I get a reply....

You'd think they'd be grateful to people willing to attend in their classic and actually give them show to put on for all the other punters, without insisting on minimum numbers and pre-registering etc etc. There must be loads of people who own classics and would like to attend these Car Show days but as they arent part of a club, get refused the discounted price

Sorry, rant over :D

Heard back from the niice lady at Duxford....

"Unfortunately all car club pitches have been take up, however you are welcome to attend as individual participants but cannot guarantee that you will be parked together.

Entry is through gate 1 at 10am and will be £10 per person."

So all's good if you want to attend, except we wont have an MMA area set aside like some previous occasions when someone (usually MattH) has booked us in advance.

Last time we went there and it was just us & Pete, they parked us up in an area that hadnt been allocated, just to the side of the American museum. Not a bad spot :thumbright:

And the £10 compares well with the standard entry price of £17.50
Under 16's free too.
