Oh Jeez things turnaround quick.... Dad is poorly again. Looks like I am going to make another trip back.... So budget for car is gonna reduce... So I think I may go for a cheaper project.

This weekend, I am off to see a 64 barracuda, the valiant was a Canadian version. It has the same body as a 64 dart. I know I like ugly cars, but that is just poor design.

I can't get the gasser look out of my head, so hope to slowly get something like that.

Also got my eye on an early Corvair.

you do know the 63 valiants had a smaller tunnel and bulkhead ,they were only designed with the \6 in mind ,so you would have to modify to fit a v8,64 onwards will fit ok

Well after a rendering last night, I think I could do one on a shoestring! Using a 4 door! I have found a car for $1000, just needs master cylinder to get it roadworthy.... Thoughts?

Tat? I know 4 doors are frowned on, but tat?

This year seems to be a bumper year for Fall auto sales in the classic world. Canada always seems to be a few years behind, this year is seeing a plethora of barn fresh cars. Yesterday a guy pulled out a 58 Bel air 2 door and a 57 Bel air wagon, look really good, been in the barn for 26 years, both running from a jerry can of gas, guess the old stuff is treacle now.

Anyway, he will only sell as a pair. works out to £8,500 for the pair!
