Prop Shaft wow's.

I needed to more the Bee asap and as it not running very well (-5 does not help) I bumped it into drive with around 2000rpm. (I know I know

)Anyway the Prop has fallen off at the diff. I was racing to catch a flight so Ive not had a chance to look at it.

Hopefully its just the UV joint, right and a simple fix? I get home on Saturday and fly to Houston Sunday so is this something I could pick up easily over there?

Just a thought Andy, unless you fitted the prop and you know different you can't always assume that the spider is the same size all round.
I've used an adaptor joint before that used two different sizes of bearing cup so check the bit left on the prop yoke and the diff yoke;)

So true, check both parts cause basically there are 3 choices (if not messed / welded with etc.). 7260, 7290 or conversion joint of these.

Andy, the good news is that if its just the UJ it really is a simple job, only a few minutes. You'll be shocked by the very small bolts that retain the UJ to the diff

If this happens on the move ,trans should be inspected, ie no load, high revs not good

If you jake the back of the car up really high you can take the prop off with out draining the trans fluid.
Couple of socket and a vice will help you press the old UJ out of the prop.
