Dave's right, that angle needs looking at. If Auto fetish is offering a swap for checking, that's a nice offer, but check that pinion angle; UJs won't work properly if it's in a straight line.

Cheers boys, the angle could be an issue as Dave & others have said as the angle on both the pig & trans is less than 0.5 degrees.

Paul it's definately not the wheels, they have been balanced twice & the vibration is there without the wheels on!

Cheers for the offer Will, I'll see how I get on with adjusting the angle 1st. :thumbright:

depends what type of yoke you have but if like mine (7290) 2 of the needle roller caps have half moon shaped circlips to locate the u/j in the yoke, thats puts the u/j smack central in the yoke, some yokes are machined so you dont need them, if its the circlip style you can fit the u/j off centre if the clips aint there, had a charger in some years ago with that very prob
keep it mopar !

I'm pretty sure the prop is balanced Shaun, although it's been a while, the prop was used and will have run into the 10's and there was no vibration, might be worth having it checked though

If things get REALLY desperate I think I have a BB rebuilt A727 knocking around that you could try..........it seems to be pointing that way if you have ruled everything else out........

Thanks boys.

I've adjusted the angle of the pig to 2 degrees, now need to adjust the trans but that will have to wait until next weekend.

yes

make the circlip face its complete side into the yoke as you Bananarama! together

if you don't you can push them off and you will loose a cap, with them round the right way it self centres as the circlips fit inside the yoke saddles.

How can the prop angle make such a huge change?
