Brilliant news!

Well done Pete, a better and more enthusiastic figurehead for the club would be hard to find...

Hi there one and all.

Thank you for the support and comments (and humour) regarding the Chairman's Role.

I did think long and hard about taking the role on as there have been some really tough acts to follow:

The ground-breaking work that Tony O did in the formative years, the great stint from Matt Hollingsworth, then good old "Wingco" Ivor Hawkins; and the sterling work most recently from Sinny - Thanks to one and all for their significant contribution to the Club.

I considered the role because of two reasons:

1) The Club has a fantastic Committee who work tirelessly behind the scenes to make the club function.
Without this in place I would not have contemplated taking the "figurehead" role - THEY do all the hard work and in my opinion should get more recognition.

2) I have been a member for many years, and I am really passionate about the Club; and hope that in some small way I can contribute to its well-being and development.

So - Thank you for offering me the role as Chairman, which I gratefully accept.

I really hope I can live up to the expectations and prove that I can work with the Committee to the benefit to the Club.

Finally, if you have any ideas or thoughts on how we can maintain and advance the club and the hobby in general, please drop me (or the Committee) a line or PM or call me on: 07837 789840.

Pete.
