Thank you for the welcome. I look forward to meeting with some of you tomorrow, though sadly without the Duster...............no plates and a power steering fluid weep. Just one of the joys of a recently restored car.

And his first double post !

Arthur, I have a PS pump rebuild kit, let me know what type and I will have a look for you if it's the pump

Not far from you at swindon either !

Again, thanks for your welcome, appreciation of the Duster and the offer of parts should they be required.

Enjoyed Shakey yesterday, just a shame that the torrential shower at mid afternoon curtailed the rest of the racing. So we decided to stay on for the cackle and fireworks, plus some more pints of Doom Bar of course!

Met Mick with the '69 Dart and Birdman with the Coronet. It was really good to talk with you and thank you for your time.

I have enjoyed the Forum so far, especially the Citroen Urinal, and the obvious wealth of knowledge held by members of the club. I look forward to joining in!

Welcome! Great Duster in a great colour. Very unusual to see a restored A body in the UK, the vast majority are race cars, modified in some way or a bit scruffy.

Thanks Guys,

After spending a lot of time restoring and very little driving I decided on the 2005 Mustang - drive it, enjoy it and let someone else service it etc.

But the wish for a useable classic returned so, having got a short wish list, decided to go for the best I could afford. The Duster, Zeibarted from new, was taken back to a bare shell then built back up with whatever was required. That is except for the wiring loom...........who does a bare shell resto with the original loom? I wouldn't! Might put a new one in later.

All numbers are matching, so I hope I have a keeper. Just a little post resto fettling and enjoy the car.

Plates arrive tomorrow so my first proper drive shouldn't be too far away, weather permitting! Then I'll find out if the 727 has its full complement of gears................MOT garage so close it never got out of 1st!!

I'll let you know how I progress.

Regards

Arthur
