what brake nuts?
the tube nuts on the pipes n that
yes
nasty
two sets of mole grips and a scant regard for safety is occasionally necessary
go a smidge tighter first.
and its always the one where the chances of you snapping the pipe and having too little to cut and flare again

Yup. This. I had a couple that were so far gone (tried heat, wd40 etc) I did just this. Cut the pipe, hammer on an old socket 'tight'. You rare at this stage 'committed' as my dad used to say !Pete wrote:I just bite the bullet, cut the pipe, use a 6 point socket, get the buggers off and start again.....
Cut em, socket. Done.
