Well, this is possibly the slowest thread on the message board.

At last, after 6 1/2 years, we FINALLY have a KITCHEN!!!!

Julie and I cooked a Stir Fry together on a real cooker!

She has been absolutely brilliant putting up with living in a perpetual mess and building site.

She has never complained, and she has just got on with it with typical Northern grit. What a girl! I love her to bits!

Massive thanks to Roydon and his family for all their help and skill on building the extension.

As a bonus we got heating today too! The simple pleasures are often the best.

Pictures to follow at some point....

That house looks awesome.
Can relate to some of this as our house was built in 1850 but no where near as old or aesthetically pleasing to look at as yours.

Glad to hear that, what's next?

Thank you all for your kind words.

At last I had the camera with me as I went off to the "Thunder Road" event, so I took a couple of small snaps of the (nearly) finished build:

Probably not what you expect on a cottage but it makes it much more easy to live with....

Notice the 2 Skips on the Driveway ;)

Also built a little garage, but most of the toys are now sold to pay for it, how ironic really....

After the previous events, it's really nice that you can have dinner together.
Good job all round :thumbright: :thumbright: :thumbright:
