Cheers Andy :thumbright: I'll be in touch, I'm away and busy for the next few weeks but the grille isn't needed yet so there's no rush. Good to know it's not a big problem, just annoying is all.

The lastest pictures. Looking great, body nice and straight (or getting there) Dave is kicking ass. New rear valance panel cut and welded into place.

That centre swage line on a Charger is a real test of a body man's skills...nice to see the old pin welder in action too, I love using those! :thumbright:

Yep, my body will be super smooth, all reflectors and badges gone plus door handles, locks and ariel hole all filled in. Trunk lock gone too.

Dave is currently straightening out the rear deck panel and the panel infront of the windscreen as someone appears to have walked over them at some point. Or it's been sat still in a garage and used a a table. I reckon 69 Chargers must get more damage from people imitating the Dukes entering and exiting the car than crashing like Bo and Luke(!)

I loved that show as a kid and it's the reason I love 69's and why I chose Dukerich as a username but I've come to dislike those rednecks more and more just for the way they have inspired every other knacker to jump on my car at some point in its life. Hmmmmmm, I wonder why my plastic door lock knobs are snapped off(!) I hope you hurt yourself.

I just KNEW Dave Potts would talk you into doing something custom.

It is a wonder he has not chopped the roof without even asking. He will chop anything and everything given half a chance.

Alas, all my idea Dave. I knew I wanted to go a little bit custom and that's why Dave Potts was the perfect man for the job. Don't worry, no underbody neon or vast stereo, it's not Pimp My Ride. I just want something a little different ;) Surely that's what makes our hobby interesting? Different ideas and oppinions, it'd be boring if we all had the same ideas wouldn't it?

I don't see the difference in a having a few little custom touches and what people do to their cars for the strip, it's still modifying it to your own specs, that's all I'm doing. It's still a muscle car, I'm not putting a hybrid engine in it(!)

I shaved the door handles on my Aussie Charger back in the mid-80s.

But mainly because one broke and you couldn't get replacements at the time. :D

It looked cool though.

Didn't see the silver flaming Charger. I hope to never see any burning Chargers :)

Oh yes. He was the brave chap that got several of his friends to hold a guy down while he beat him half to death because the guy had wandered into his workshop a couple of times.
An inspiration to us all.
