G'day Mates! Everything is going well. Moved the stuff from the Motel to the rented accom today. Had to hire some furniture and beds as the shipping stuff is held up. Bought the tv, washer and fridge yesterday, asked for delivery today. They said 10.30am, they were there, 10.30am. Sweet service! Furniture turned up on time as well! George spotted the first Val today. VC with dodgy flame job. He also found my first HotWheels treasure hunt in a Coles supermarket. Drinking Yellow Tail Oz Pinot Noir. Nice! $8.50 a bottle and 13.5%. Going looking at cars tomorrow, Holden Commodore looks good, but my Mopar tattoo is getting itchy..........
Will be off line 'til I get a phone line sorted. Speak soon!
Carole and George are loving it. Carole is much more happy now we have the rental sorted, Phase 1 complete, as I call it. We have had to do a lot of mundane stuff so far and George has been a diamond throughout. What a star!!!! 8-) 8-)

Holden Commodore VP, cant beat it Kev!
Ive had mine 8 years now, 300,000km on the clock and the only engine bit that has needed doing is the crank sensor (if it won't start when hot thats the trouble) and the water pump (£40 from USAutomotive)
Never had the engine , box or axle apart. Ive only changed the plugs once.

Cheers Matt! It's a minefield for cars out here. Looking at a 2004-6 Commodore with the big inch alloys etc. Petrol prices are starting to hit though, it's about 80p a litre now :?

We've had an 08 model (SE+, 3.5 V6 etc) since April and it's been great. Sticker price over here is pretty sweet as well!

I guess you are pretty close to Nimbin there. The hippy, wishy washy mentality seems to fan out from there. Nice cakes though ;)

If you are looking for something to do with the George there are a couple of theme parks down in Labrador. Or the glasshouse mountains to the north are pretty sweet too (although maybe a little dull for a kid). Steve "Crazy" Irwin's Australia Zoo is somewhere round there as well.

This is probably worth a look in October: http://www.indy.com.au/

If you are into camping Frasier Island up by Torquay (no not the one in Cornwall!) is worth a week out. You can hire a 4x4 through the back packers places there and spend 3 or 4 days out on the worlds biggest sand dune.

Still here! We are in our rented accom with limited internet. By standing on the balcony naked I can just about pick up an unsecured wireless signal....... Had fun today getting some paygo sims......"What's that?" "Got some, but don't know how to top up...." etc etc. Going to Australia Zoo tomorrow. Maybe I can dig up the Irwin and grab his Ozzie boots, I need some...... No where near buying a car, another weeks rental on the Corolla is looming  Had our first cockroach in through the door tonight, and it's G's first day without seeing a Skyline. Excellent Top DoorSlammer coverage on the tv though :thumbright: Running in the 5s, apparently the rest of the world is scared ;) Carole is flouting Noel's Rules and has a pet rat called Franky, I got a NavMan. :thumbright:

Crikey! Australia Zoo was fab. Frankie is now Franky 4 Fingers. Carole killed a 1" ant in the kitchen. Stuff turns up from Uk tomorrow. Not the engine stuff. ;) Everything is peachy. But I have diagnosed that the aircon is out of 'fridge. Noel the tenant bloke sez it is user error on the controls..............We will see ;) If I am right and he is wrong perhaps I could do the maintenance for the complex :thumbright: Goota go! Me 750ml VB is getting warm :help:
