Looks like the front wings have been cut to allow the front to turn!

Shame really because it would look rather imposing!

Looks good Carl! :thumbright:

Edit: Sorry Gary just realised that this is your Coronet thread!

Yes they are cut away Dave. That car is the real deal and lowered at the front, a lot of the nascars done the same. Might get me can opener out and cut mine

Searched everywhere for wheels like that to no avail, that wide anyway. Other option was to get stock wheels banded, but thats not such a good idea.

Well been using her daily again this week. Some more buttons have decided to work on the heater so hopefully I won't be fried in summer !!!!
Rocker gaskets still leaking so stuck my neck out and got a new set of the ones I planned to get later on !

Does anyone know the best way to 'pop' the holes out for pcv valve / breather ????
Cheers. Gary :help:

Gary have both covers got a hole in? If so 1 would be for filler cap and the other for the PCV, but you would know that and probably wouldnt be asking the question ;)

If not you will have to drill a hole in the punchout area and fit the the valve in using a grommet kit.

But you might then need to fit some sort of baffle inside the valve cover to stop the PCV Valve sucking up oil. Though some valves have a one way valve in them.

You would be better off getting it machined out to the exact size of the grommet if the punch out area is big enough. They call it a punch out but its not really.

Someone on here may have a better idea as im sure this problem has risen its head many times.

Also Gary, I remember a thread a while ago outlining that there is a right and wrong side for the PCV....

Cheers Steve :thumbright:

I have had 2 sets of those valve covers be careful knocking out the punch out hole I did mine with a brass drift and it knocked the hole out to big  and leaked cause I could not find the right size grommet....oh well live and learn

i would not bother ,id use a twist in breather instead of the oil cap and fit the pcv in the other cover with a twist in grommet
