Think that was the fan hitting the water bottle

It sounds like it's a little retarded to me, unless it's got a plug down.
Keep on it Matt, once you get a momentum it will soon come together.

Timing not checked running yet just set up static. Will do more once coolant is in and the trans cooler and exhaust connected.
Noise at end was the washer bottle getting sucked into the fan. You do just hear me say "What was that?" just after James said "You've got flames!"

We had open manifolds and oil cardboard on the floor underneath.

This could link into the stupid things you have done thread.

 it didn't quite escalate from "mild peril" to "combustable Darwin moment"  although the demise of a genuine MOPAR washer bottle has left me lightly traumatised

Still haven't driven it yet, but turned my attention to some of the big chunks of remaining panel work.
Both doors now fitted for the final time, pass front wing and front valance on.
Drivers wing needs to be lined up next with the bonnet.

Looking good Matt - what colour will it be?

Can't remember if I told you, but I failed to get any more sunroof seals, as the original ones in the States seem to be totally different to the European ones on the car! I've just put the sunroof back on mine after painting it, with some extra sealant around the edges to fill the gaps - fingers crossed!

Andy, it will be sublime, Sam Posey lookalike, hence the T/A scoop and spoiler.
Sunroof seals, thanks for the info, that will be one of my next jobs, to get it sealed up tight.

Hoping so Jim, last time it was there was the 1st in 1994.
Plan is it will be at American Speedfest, Le Mans Classic and then the Nats.

Yes we did our due diligence trying to find those seals , it makes me wonder if the sunroof cars were sent with out the sunroofs and they were added later with different seals because the seals on your car Andy look entirely different than the car here in the states .

That being said if you can Matt H you might have different seals , post a pic and if they are like Andys then I cant help , but if they are different , then they might match what the repop supplier has here in the states.

The guy that has them is just a few miles from my house and shipping would be reasonable since they are pretty light,no pressure just thought I might help... :thumbright:

Drew, I am pretty sure the sunroof is a European market thing, probably fitted over in Belgium by the dealer. What little I could find inside was German names so i reckon its a dealer fit.

Having studied Andy's roof (we are sunroof anoraks!) they are identical except mine is powered, Andy's is manual slide.

I will try to dig out my seals and check what they look like, but i suspect we will need to source them in Europe, not the States.
