Sorry to hear that Dave, I lost both my cats this year, they were a good age but it doesn't make it any easier, almost 17 for a dog is a brilliant age so she had a good life

I've had 3 Jack Russells pass on now and it's a hard time getting used to the quiet.Used to keep looking for them, expecting one to walk in the room or bite my ankle. Trouble is,they become part of the family and the loss is hard to accept. Thoughts are with you Dave.

damit dave, you made me well up there ! I'd love to get a dog but I was so upset when my cat died a few years ago I think it would be even harder with a dog. There are other reasons not to get a dog too but still. I did get to dogsit 2 labs last weekend, and was up at 7:30 clearing poo and wee off the new laminate floor. urgh.

I am hoping that tonight we can get to midnight for the first time without sheding a few tears. Diana always starts it and she sets me off!
I am watching the Sopranos from 11pm to 12:15am on E4+1 tonight. That should distract the both of us and I have ordered Diana not to play any sad songs on the piano during her practice before then.
It is good to see photos of other peoples dogs though. Keep them coming. I love them. I am sure they bring back happy memories to all of us that have lost our mans best friends this way.

I wouldn't go that far. My best friend would never steal my dirty boxer shorts from the linin basket and eat them while I am at work, nor would they wal past a fresh plate of wiskers cat food to eat poo from the litter tray.
Only kiddin, I love my mutts
