Got it up & running tonight , then the "low fuel" light kept coming on when the fuel noid was pulsing but ok when "open" , did a few mods & all ok now. :thumbright:

Lucky i tested before goin to the pod , would of been a wasted journey  , as i would'nt of bought ALL the tools with me to "fix" the prob.

Took the pit for a walk

Well We took the pit and the green meanie for a walk today just got in and I am knackered.
Got up at 5.30 loaded the wheels and helmet and rondevoued? with Ada and the pit just off J6 at the only gas station Adam knows this side of Barnet.
Cruised up To the second service station should have stopped at the first so did 20 miles to many but finally ended up at the Priory, so new we were close.
Following the pit fitted with Tom Tom when Adam started to go back to the M1 his Sat Nav was on nigh time settings and the voice was turned off.
How many times Adam RTFM.
I tried to sort it out when it froze so there we are wandering up and down the embankment at 8 am looking for a pin to reset the darned thing.
Plan B go back to Tesco's grab some fuel and see a BMW on a trailer figured that a good bet and followed them right into the Pod.
Sign on £60 for the test and tune day.
At first felt a bit out of our depth with 1/2 doz top fuelers and 2 jet cars.
So we sidled in beside a blown 57 Chevy Gasser Ratty some thing and swapped out the Tyre's.
They had maxed out the cars to 100 so never had to queue just went round and round and apart from a bike spewng its guts and the jet cars no probs.
Slowly dialled in the Drugs till yahoo;-

Reaction.2558( not bad for an old un)
60 ft ------1.7862
330ft -----5.0851
1/8 et ----7.8743
1000ft----10.2313
1/4 et-----12.3821
MPH-------104.87.

And had the air con on gotta stay cool

What happened to the PIT I will let Adam tell you

Ran through 2 bottles of Nos and 20 cups of coffee and one tray of chips and Cornish pasty.

Changed the wheels well actually Adam did (Where were you No Neck).

Blasted down the M1 via Bob Bob Sat nav(Road signs) took 20 min less and last saw the pit in a Queue at J5 which I took and blasted through the lanes to Home Big Grins.
A great day out with the Pit thanks Adam.

Sweet! What was your previous best et. Great 60ft considering the weight.....

Best ET

Just checked my slips the best Et no drugs 14 Oct 2006.
1/4 ET 14.754.
Now here's the thing dialled the Start in at 3k and full on at 5K 12 deg of retard.
Now after opening my eyes on the second run noticed that the revs maxed out at 5K over the line.
Bear in mind I am running 3.23 in the rear.
So the conundrum is if I start at 3K all in at 4k ?
also what if I went to a 3.55 or a 3.9.
Perhaps Dave can do the Maths.
I only got 1 GCSE and that was for woodwork.

Great day but a bit dissapointed.

First run: 100 shot in @ 4000 rpm , 175 all in @ 5000 rpm , the pit was all over the track , had to back off @ around the 1/8th mark , hooked up well though. :?

Second run: 150 shot in @ 3000 rpm , 250 shot in @ 5000 rpm , the pit went through the gantry @ 85 MPH , RAN OUT OF GAS MID TRACK. :banghead:

Third run: 150 shot in @ 3000 rpm , 250 in @ 5000 rpm , started fannying around mid track , temp gauge was reading 240* , switched cooling fans off on control mod by mistake. :banghead:

Fourth run: Same shots as above , pit pulled like a train , real smooth , everything feelin good , suddenly starts to spin the wheels (slicks) all the way up the track, had to back off , could see the rear bumper comin round. :pale:

Fifth run: as above , did some messin with the rear end , hooked up better , pulled like a train , felt good & crisp , RAN OUT OFF GAS MID TRACK. :banghead:

NO MORE GAS , got a pukka pie & chips & went home.

Gotta sort out the traction , cos i aint goin nowhere as it is @ the mo.

Anyone got any ideas , maybe the track wasn'nt preped properly , cos a couple of guys said the same thing.

At least the nitrous is doin what it's spose to do with no teething probs. :thumbright:

Best time was a 12 .2 , which it runs with NO GAS
