No I was handing over the trophy I won last year to this years winner Jonathan Connolly. There probably should have been a caption as I agree it looks the other way around in that photo which is the opposite effect I intended.babyelephant wrote:Dave, did you and/or the Corvette win a trophy at the Euro Nats? I think I saw a picture, but no info why you were awarded?

Jonathan is one of those people that works quietly behind the scenes helping people (and the club!) out. He is very deserving of the club trophy.
I thought it would be a good idea if every year the old holder of the trophy passed it over to the new holder. But if it is going to cause confusion..........

Found this website yesterday.
http://www.partsworldperformance.com and in particular this engine;
http://www.partsworldperformance.com/ls ... ate_engine
I did the sums earlier and, all other things being equal, a straight swap in (if it is a straight swap) would result in the car running around 11.9 @ 116mph.
Which funny enough is exactly where I was trying to get the Challenger to run at.
Funny coincidence that.
I don't have that kind of money of course.

Work over the winter this year has consisted of;
Fitting Eibach front and rear sway bars.
Replacing two sway bar end links.
Re-building the brake calipers.
Replacing one that I stripped a thread on.
Lowing the suspension so the tyres look a better fit in the arches. This was achieved on the stock adjustments with the addition of cutting 1/3rd off the front bushings.
Using the car to commute this week. Camera photo.
