And on the subject of Aussies and best singers, but the hairy-assed variety this time, they dont come any better than Jimmy Barnes
Corny video but what do you expect from Oz back in 1987
And he's still doing the rounds. Back with Cold Chisel. Again.

Saw these a few times a few years back...spent some time chatting to the young lady after the gig while the blokes did all the work tidying up

Keep 'em coming chaps
Bit of a mixed bag here:
Not usually a big fan of instrumemtals (apart from Satriani of course) but I like this. As you've most probably gussed by now, huge hooks n riffs with a big production sound does it for me every time.
Here's a right old rocker and cracking chorous:
Back to Rock Chicks and a bit of a stomper:
An awesome British band that didn't get the credit they deserved:
A track from another album that would be in my top 10. You want riffage?
Well check this one out:
A great song here from a guy that one American Idol would you believe?
And finally (for today) a band that you've (possibly) never heard of. Monster song, great video and a catchy chorous too. This one definitely needs to be played on 11. Enjoy!

Some good stuff there Jem i am starting to forget what i have posted? so i had better check so i do not double post.
I love a Bit of instrumental, one of the Best i forgot to Mention on a Par with Via Satch and Van Halen is Steve Stevens
Impressive work, with Billy idol for a few decades, done some movie music including Top Gun,did guitar for Jackson, plus loads of other stuff including Atomic Playboys,Vince Neil solo stuff.
I like his solo stuff a lot of Flamenco.

A lot of good American guitarists appeared at the same time of Satriani and Vai, Randy Rhodes springs to mind
What i am enjoying right now, apart from this thread, is all the excellent new music from some really established names, Europe, Slash, ZZ Top etc
After goin thru mine and ginges old vinyl collection I did find some horrors tho............... anybody for AngelWitch?

Not rock, but the best song ever, especially if you know why it was written:

Not Rock?
What do you call it then? You dont get much more rock('n'roll) than the Strolling Gnomes.
Great version of that track but best song ever.... c'mon
It's not even the best Stones song. And they're way off being the best ever band!!

Shame they can't schedule it for Friday night, but I was listening to the first show by Brian Johnson on Radio 2 last night, pretty good, obviously loads of old AC/DC but that's no bad thing
Anybody else catch it?
Ginges birthday tomorrow and I gotta stay in tonight to sort out some Bananarama! for her so me, Herman and a bottle of red intend to trawl right thru all those YouTube links that have been posted up
