must be heartbreakin, if A you built the car and either did the murals/paint yourself or had it done to be faced in later yrs with it all gettin a bit tatty and havin to paint over all that lovely hard work same thing if you find an old custom locked in a garage and again the body is a little to rough to keep the paint scheme
Great pics Sandy. Gary Belcher's Fad-T with the Jag V12 blew everyone away. The "Novel T" looks like Nick Butler's Revenge.
Talking of which, I saw Butler's Andromeda T-bucket, complete with blown Hemi, parked on a drive in front of a house near Haywards Heath not that long ago. I wonder where the other show cars are now?

The Hemi was built by Dick Landy.
Trick drilled out oiling system with external lines. Swinging arm oil pick-up to account for acceleration, braking or even cornering.
It was 8.5:1 compression ratio with standard valves and a camshaft that was described at the time as "slightly hot".
Other than that it was mainly stock. Just blueprinted to the max and Landy said it would be safe to 9700rpm!
The Gary Dyer 6.71 blower was only 5% underdriven. Making just under 1000hp at the crank. Carbs were twin 600cfm Holleys modified by Dyer.
The trans was a B&M 727 with B&M 3500 stall converter. Covered with a Simpson scatter blanket.
And ..er... yes. I had quite a thing for this car when it came out.
