why not stroke it then plenty of cheap (ish) kits out there.Dont go wild on the cam and build yourself a torque monster.

Now I understand where you are coming from. ;)

I would suggest this one;

It has just a little more duration than the stock cam but much more lift so you get more power than stock and it will work fine with the 2800 stall converter.

It also does not need a huge amount of compression. But I would shoot for something like 9.7:1. Certainly I would not go much higher with this cam because I would guess you want to run on normal unleaded?
