I used to shift my 340 4 spd to 12.8@ 104 and would still be using the 4 sp with the BB if i had a Dana instead of an 8/3/4.
Did you run your car Nick

best i found mick was to bounce it off the line with no guts at all get out about 60-100 foot and the gun it, it was terrible at hookin up but i did have it set up real stiff for circuit racin

Must admit Dunc I tried to do that but it's difficult not to slam your foot down.
Adam, been looking at those street legal drag tyres and I don't think it's what I'm after. They need to be deflated to take full advantage of them at the strip so you might as well fit slicks. Useful if you're racing in a class that requires street legal tyres I surpose. I find those Coopers dangerous in the wet, I'm just after a tyre with more grip.

You can run 18 psi in a drag radial but they do wear quickly.

your not wrong there Adam I managed a 14.something sec on coopers,

They are made from wood. Although cheap enough street tyres mine cost me £200 for a brand new set so can`t really moan at that.

You Bad Man Adam

the only reason i bought em was on price ( BF Goodrich were more than double that) like i said £200 for a set, i thought that was for nothin really for a new set of rubber ( or wood

)

I had Hoosier QuickTimes on me 'Cab and they were the dog's danglies. Lasted a good season and a half with no major hoonage on the Street. Fantastic grip at the track. But my car's lighter than yours and does about 1000 miles a year. Finally killed them in a Taxi rank in Sarfend

Another MB member got through his QTs in under a month, you could see the tubes through the tyres

(Ain't that right Dave McB!

Big B-Body though) We had a debate at the time whether the QTs come in different flavours of softness.
