That is correct Clive. The later ones all had the pipes exit on the fender side no matter what the engine.
Maybe someone worked out that they could save two inches of brake pipe per car?

Most Disc MC's will work OK, the trick is checking which reservoir is for the front brakes and which is the back - do not naturally assume the front reservoir is always the front brakes. My rule of thumb is the bigger reservoir is the front brakes.

New master cylinder arrived today. Took a while to find one - apparently disc-fronted-b-bodys with passenger side exit pipes are like rocking horse poo. No-one seemed able to get one. (I am hoping this makes the core valuable ! hah !)
Anyway, long story short - "Jims Auto Parts" were the only people I could get one from. New master cylinder, ordered on Tues night, selected 'economy shipping' and it arrived this morning.
So thats Tues PM to Thursday morning for part to be packed, shipped, flown, delivered. That is AWESOME. Assuming it fits (!) this is a big thumbs up for Jims auto parts I reckon...
Keep you posted how I get on.
Morgan.

Hi Morgan,
Jim's Auto parts are the best!!!
Used them alot and they deliver the goods.
Your master cylinder needs to go back to the States for reconditioning, as these cores are hard to find. Suprised you managed to get one without a core return!
My mate in California payed 220 bucks for his one, without the core it would have been another 100 bucks.
