Just watched Doomsday and it was better than I expected!
And yes they did use the sound effects from Kevs car on a 4 pot diesel London taxi cab (with spikes on it), see it in the chase scene.

Got this email from Michael who recorded the cars:
Hello mate, hope you're well - yeah, all the cars got used, there were so many different cars to cover! The camaro was used for the police car that goes over the cliff, the bentley was some bentley recordings we got souped up with some sounds from a mustang with the exhaust pipe on (mike who had the camaro had one - a new one not an old mustang). The V8 lotus was used for the van that upends and explodes in the chase. Your car was used for sol's car in the final chase. Kev's was the black london taxi. The blue more modern car actually had a good recording from when they filmed it so we stuck with that. The bikes were a mixture of scramblers we recorded and the trike was f1 v8 stock cars i recorded in kings lynn last year. The mustang without the exhaust was used for something as well but can't remember which. You might be interested to know that the engine of the apc's was actually a turbo boat engine!
Thanks again for all your help, let us know what you think of it - it's not a great plot but it's got some decent action sequences in it. There's a lot of music over the chase which we felt spoiled the impact of the car sounds a bit but they still poke through in places.
Cheers then,
Michael

I've seen it and its very much recycled old films and will get ripped to bits by the critics, but I quite enjoyed it.

Yes, embarrasingly close to Mad Max (and Duran Duran Wild Boys!!!) but the second time I watched it I realised how much they were camping up the chase scene at the end, good on em.
