It is not very often I agree with Andy but considering the intended purpose and goal (and knowing the cam spec  ) it is the one to go for.

Yah! Hear you, boys! I must have had a blip about the dual plane. We all know they belong on cars still running a heater :D

Well, the Torker was the nearest I could get for my 383 and the rev range I'm looking at...it's nearly a Victor, but I couldn't resist it because it was Kev's favourite price...

CHEAP! :D
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.

hey kev
thought you had a torker off me?? that would work fine, all them manifolds are pretty similar, pretty sure any losses you got on the street you would barely notice, and at the strip barely any difference, use what you have you can put a manifold on later if you need to i would lend you one to test, what times you after?? i have used all the various types and they have all run down in the 11s from tunnel ram sixpaks to the performer rpm, i have a 440 non stroker here pump gas mtr with eddy heads and a holley street dominater intake thats dynoed at 655hp,

I'm told the B & RB versions of the Edelbrock Performer RPM has an air gap anyway.

All b and rb engines have an air gap. the air gap manifold is for small blocks.

is that on all intakes? Like factory 4 bbls as well? Forgive my ignorance as I've not paid too much attention being a small block geezer so far

Alistair if you want some smallblock intakes , oh boy do I have some pictures for you and as for all intakes being bascially the same, well yeah all cars have 4 wheels, but trust me Joey Arrington doesn't get $2500 to port a NASCAR one for nothing

Al. On the big blocks you have a valley pan/intake gasket that seals the valley from the outside world. The intake manifold sits above that and mates to the engine on the ports only. There is a gap between the bottom of the intake manifold and the top of the valley pan.

As you know on the LA the intake itself seals the valley of course.
