Kev don't use balsa cement it eats expanded polystyrene ,pva wood glue is fine or a tiny bit of epoxy like araldite rapid,watch the weight it soon builds up.
most super glues eat foam too

I used latex on my fixed wing plane Kev - the elevators were sculpted polystyrene and were broken at the hinge - the rubber solution worked great.
Good luck with the bellypopper/Hairycopter...

Pleased to say that the Uhu I was using for balsa wood is the biz and it's all ready for more abuse
