Go for a reverse pattern manual shifter with low band apply I would also recomend changing the stock reverse servo with a billet one as the stock one could break due to the extra pressure exerted on it.

I got mine form here http://www.coperacingtrans.com/valvebodies.htm

Have a read at the bottom of that web page you will understand why we recomend low band apply.

Read and understood.
They also say to use a trans shield?
Email on the way to them, thanks Guy.

JUST FIT YOUR VALVE BODY AND DONT WORRY,
THAT TURBO ACTION CHEETA IS A GOOD PART,
i have used em in most off my cars and lots off my rebuilds,
just dont bother doing ANY dry burnouts, and when in the bleach box start the burnout in 2nd gear and shift in to top i always drive out off the burnout hard in top, also dont down shift the transmission in to 1st until the car has stopped this is on the street obv, but remember if your trans is not in good condition the valve body wont help it will still die, if you need any advice let me know

66, The Cheetah is NOT a low band apply,
you will notice that when you change down into 1st when driving on the street, nothing happens.... No engine braking,
blip the throttle and it drops into first as the shaft / drum speeds catch up.

Just dont get hard on it when changing down into first, or ... get hard on, and off the gas in first, or you'll eventually meet the SPRAG face to face.

The Cheetah is a good V/ Body and shifts so hard, I love it.

Mogs..

I've got 2 A&A rev pattern manual valve bodies with the low apply on the way over, with a billet rear servo from TCS.

One is sold one is for stock so if you need one it will be here next week

Although if Dunc says you don't need it you don't need it
