It's all well and good saying that Mark, yes, it does work out to approx £12.5k, but not many have the balls to send that sort of dosh to a complete stranger and then wait 2 months (if your lucky) for it to turn up in one piece/undamaged etc ;) Plus all the added cost's of course £3/4k

Of course these "top" auction house's are after top dollar for there punters and belive me they often get it  I sold two of my cars to a dealer who put then into one of these auctions and they sold for a healthy profit to European customers.

I have an idea it's the same guy who owns the yank stuff entered here :?

I will be attending, got me eye on the CAV GT40 (but I know the owner ;) ) some nice gear there alright but don't think any of the yank tin will be nicked ;)

PS If any of ya want me to bid on summat for ya, just let me know :thumbright:

All fair comment Malc

and I wouldnt buy unseen - too risky!

When I phoned em - I was surprised it was the buyer who pays 15% plus vat- is this normal - ? - I thought the seller had to cough

If you do go and get a sniff of the reserves - I wouldnt mind a call

are reserves ever released pre auction?

These auctions make major wonga, not all play by the same rules, most charge the seller a "fixed fee" or sometimes 5% of the sale price. The real money is made on the sale commission as most want /need to sell and do not want to take the car back, but they will often charge it at "both ends" also (as here)

Reserve price's are never reveled to the punter (unless that is, you happen to know them/the auction ;) ) But it's fair to say that the seller wants "middle" of what the "suggested estimate" is.

mal, im at the nec away so, 90 % will be at the auction, but thing the only thing ill buy will the coffee's.
If any of the yanks make the sort of money they expect, ill be happy rather than sick ive wasted an afternoon

It ill make a change to see some high prices rather than all the recent stories of doom & gloom most of the sellers on this forum have told us

absoulutly nothing ive got my eye on at there estimate prices

It's a big old world out there And and the MMA sales scene is not a true refection on whats going on outside. There is still big bucks out there son (mainly Europe) and if you have what they want they will pay it whatever the price.

PS Forget the estimate prices ;)

Yep that's the Charger that's at the show.

Of all the Yanks there, I'd have a punt at the Cuda and the GTO...I wouldnt bother with the others, however the paint on the Duster is a bit special!
The pump don’t work coz the vandals took the handles.
