Silver does not do it justice. What is wrong is there's not enough body past the wheels both ends. It looks ok in the middle, doors look too deep though. If it was drawn on the back of a fag packet instead of a computer,it might look better.

The production version is obviously different.

I can hear the factories in China cranking up to produce "concept" tailight kits as we speak....

If Chrysler had never stopped production, instead bringing out a new version every two years,it would be fine. BMW and Mercedes are instantly recognisable whether 30 years old or new. It's the fact that the new car is trying to look like the original and fails miserably in most areas.

It looks fat and heavy because it is. This has always been my problem with it. I never really liked the concept either.
When you saw the concept side by side with the original 70 model it was wider, taller, longer and heavier. In particular I think it looks very large and slab-sided in the side-on view.
The original Challenger was a big fat car too. But the designers were VERY clever with the lines of the car and it looked very low and sleak to the eye as a result.
That seems to have been lost from the new version.

I like the look of it, and i prefer the production rear lights to the concept cars'. The problem i always had with the concept cars' rear lights is the difficulty with converting them to UK legal. The production car looks more like the original too.
I haven't seen a new Challenger or concept in the flesh, but I reckon they've done a brilliant job of recreating the Challenger in a modern package. I will probably buy one sooner or later.

Another, seems strange that they are just offering the first lot in Sliver, Black and Orange, you would have thought blue and Vanishing Point white would have been offered

Looking at these pics I'm glad I didn't wait for a Challenger, looks somehow totally different to the concept car, as others have said, softer somehow, and the rear does it no favours.
Rear lights remind me of a Nissan 200 SX ??????? or is it ZX.

Does it have the flip top gas cap , it would be nice to see it with a billet version.

Moving the side markers down so low didn't help the lines.
