I was camped more or less where we camp these days. Not far from the toilets.
Just as well as it turned out in the early hours of sunday morning.....
I didn't even make it as far as the gents and had to dive into the ladies.

I found the video tape last night. 14.87 was my run with lots of smoke out of the tailpipes. When I saw the replay in the camera after that run I decided not to do any more in case I needed a rebuild before I could get home.
On the Sunday I was parked next to the grandstand. Left to right there was a red 71-on Roadrunner or Satellite, then my Challenger, two 70-ish C-body (Furys?), and then that orange Hemi Coronet.
Here is your car Dave. I remember being mightily impressed with it as this was the first (and only) Nats that I had been to with my Challenger, and to meet someone with a real 70R/T was quite something when I had £1500 worth of filler laden yellow 73. the pic of me racing is against the red 74 that is now owned by Red Raven, the car that Kate Moss drove for the kowalski video by Primal Scream.
Was it really 14 yrs ago? And Ive been to every Nats since, but never in that car.
