Right, I got all my Road Runner grilles out last night to sort out a colour match for Argent silver.
All three grilles are completely different colours.
So, who can tell me what type of argent is used on the grille and the lower intake grille?
...and is matt black within both grilles standard?
Generally, the grilles look like they have a light, textured silver around the edges and about an inch or so around the inner part of the grille, while the bars in the grilles appear to be painted matt black on the edges.
I know this isn't a Jim Wilson style resto, but I think it would be good to get it as close as possible to what it should be like.
I even tried casting my mind back to when I saw 70 Road Runners when they were brand new, biut there seems to be a huge gap in my memory between about 1968 and 1975...I wonder why?
