You'll have to excuse my ignorance Kev. The motor you are building sounds a real power house, and if it had been almost anyone else other than Dunc that said you could expect an 11.7 I wouldnt have believed it. If it was pretty close to the mark, I think it just undlerines the effort put into what you already have which by comparrisson, would be like sitting Noah's Ark next to the Blue Ribband.

So any clues what sort of ET you hope it will give? Your post suggests a big improvement. Low 10's, high 9's????

I am six point caging the cab, plus bars to the front. Inner wings out. I've got a brand new Dana (Gay3.73s plus Detroit Locker) which will be on monoleafs and caltracs, the drive shaft etc will be 1350 spec. Convertor still to be decided (PTC to supply, only need about a 10", but strong!). I've got a steel front drum and some fancy billet servos for the box. As the car will not be on the road in Oz a lot of weight can be taken out. I'll only be on an 11" slick so getting the power down could be the deciding factor. Don't know whether to re engineer the pulleys to give less boost (read hp) and run on C16 plus my methanol injection system or just leave it and run it on pure methanol. I'm going to have to find out if it has been jetted for methanol or not ;) Obviously with all this new kid tech I'm still finding my feet. I'd ultimately like to run 140mph in the 1/4 :thumbright: ........Watch this space!
And also any constructive criticism is welcome, and any trash talking or hilarity is also most welcome!!

So 140mph on the quarter, means less than 10 sec ET?

Clivey! Don't be suckered by Dunc!
Things could be more complicated though! Look at this!
175ci Chrysler four-cylinder with a Mopar Performance P5 Hemi head
1,030 hp at 8,000 rpm and 680 lb-ft of torque, also at 8,000, on only 20 psi boost. There's way more in it when they turn up the wick and run it to 9,500.......
It's run an easy 255 mph in only three miles. With boost, rpm, and more distance, 300 shouldn't be a problem.
