Serious question. What is happenging chassis wise with this car?

Cage fittted to existing shell or full tube chassis or something in-between or what?

Serious answer Dave, I'll be retaining the original chassis from the firewall back with addition of chassis connectors, which will run forward to create new front chassis legs, engine, steering and suspension mounts.

There will be no inner fenders, so no fenderwell headers required.

I will be mini-tubbing the rear to get some more tyre under and retain that stock body look, with no wheel arch radiusing.

Just seen your reply Pete...top drawer old man, that's the plan!

Tube axle in the plan? On coil-overs or leafs?

Ivor, you must be mad, then again I've seen pics of the Road Runner before you started, I would take my hat off to you, if I had one.

looks a good project Ivor, not must rot by the looks of things, which is a bonus.

I take it you have a load of spares with it.

Ivor, just a thought.

Cut off that cross brace at the back. Fit an Anglia rear window and a tailgate and you have a Barra-ute  :D

Next years Nats ???? ;)

Good move and Idea Ivor, start with a ragged one and things can only get better.
Might have to bump heads together at some point as the Fury has similar plans afoot...but even more work with a altered wheelbase

Thanks for the comments guys, yes it's gasser time...tube axle, the works, but the car body and interior will remain as stock looking as possible

I'll have all the parts together by this years Nats then work will begin in earnest and if I really pull my finger out it'll be ready for next years Nats...really up for this one! :thumbright:
